Money, goals, lessons and an AI assistant, in a single app.

The problem.

The idea: kids and teens learning to manage their money by using it.

FinCrea is a financial literacy app: each kid logs what they receive and what they spend, sets savings goals and learns through short lessons. When they sign up they enter their age, and the content and tone adapt to it.

Ignacio Malamud
“The hardest part was getting Crea to talk to a 10-year-old differently than to a 17-year-old, and to use their real numbers. They solved it without fuss, with the app, the admin panel and the assistant working together.”
Ignacio Malamud, co-creator of FinCrea
The start of FinCrea: “How old are you?”, with four ages to choose from, from under 11 to over 19, and 11 to 14 selected
Crea answers a sample kid under 11 who asks whether he can afford the bike: how much he has, how much more he needs and that, saving a little every week, he'll get there in about 25 weeks
Their age, and Crea's toneEach kid says their age and Crea talks to them at their level. Sample data.

What we built.

  • Income, spending and savings goals
  • An Academy with levels, lessons and quizzes
  • Points, streaks and badges
  • Crea, an AI assistant
  • A content dashboard
A quiz question on the 50/30/20 rule, answered: the “Correct!” notice, with confetti, says 20% goes to savings and goals
Lessons with quizzesEvery lesson in the Academy ends in a quiz: passing it earns points and brings the next level closer. Sample data.

How it turned out.

A single app where each kid logs, saves, learns and asks.

Everything they do counts: the entry they log updates their summary, the contribution moves their goal and the quiz they pass brings them closer to the next level. The lessons and the points are changed from the dashboard.

A new sample user creates her first goal, Patines (roller skates), and the notice of the Soñador (Dreamer) badge appears
The first goal, with its badgeA new user creates her first goal and unlocks the Soñador (Dreamer) badge, which earns her points. Sample data.
What it's built with and how you take it with youTo share with your tech advisor: the tech stack, where the AI runs and how you take everything with you.

The app is built with Expo (React Native) on a .NET 8 API with PostgreSQL; the content dashboard, with React and Vite.

Crea uses Claude on Microsoft Foundry (Azure) and answers with the data of whoever asks; lesson images are uploaded to Azure Storage from the dashboard.

What's yours stays in your name: the code, the domain and the accounts. If you switch providers, you take all of it with you and another developer can pick it up.

Want something like this?

It works just as well for any other app that teaches something, like a course with hands-on practice or habit tracking for a gym: the first version gets tested with real people.

Want everything FinCrea has?

It starts with the MVP app plan: from USD 2,490, in 30 days. We'll quote the extras (the AI assistant, the Academy, the points and badges and the content dashboard) in writing before you sign.

Another AI app we built: Koan, published on the App Store and on Google Play.

What we sign before we start.

The price we quote is the price you pay.

If we're late, we take 10% off the price for every week.

What we need from you goes on a list with dates. If we fall 2 weeks behind the signed date, you choose: we keep going with the discount, or we stop, refund what you paid (if you paid 100%, half of it) and you keep what's done.

The domain, the code and the accounts are in your name from day one.

Hi Rapidyx! I read the FinCrea case study. I want an MVP app. I saw it starts at USD 2,490 and can have users in 30 days. Could you send me a price and a date?
