What we built.
- An AI chat that remembers what you talked aboutIt follows the approach its creator chose and saves a summary of each conversation for the next one.
- By text or by voicePeople type or send a voice message: Koan transcribes it and replies.

The app is built in Expo (React Native) for iPhone and Android, on top of an API in .NET 8 with PostgreSQL (pgvector); the dashboard, in React with Vite.
The AI is Claude, on Microsoft Foundry (Azure), and everything runs on Azure (Azure Container Apps, Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Azure Storage), on its own domain.
What's yours stays in your name: the code, the domain and the accounts. If you switch providers, you take all of it with you and another developer can pick it up.

Premium is billed right in the app, and the AI's answers can be tuned from the dashboard, without waiting for a new version. The latest, 1.0.3, came out on August 4, 2026.
